CPU temp high

I recently just overclocked my CPU and have it hooked up with a corsair H100iV2 and am getting around 40C at idle. I just wanted to know if that's too high and if I should just go back to default clock settings.

You're fine. If you want lower temps then you could probably get even better by delidding your CPU and replacing the thermal compound with wither higher quality compound or liquid metal.

Thanks for the reply. I figured that the cpu temperatures were fine, just wanted to make sure.

At idle, I expect to see 10-15c. over ambient.
