Question Cpu temp high?

When my pc is idle my cpu is 45 degrees
When playing rainbow6 its 80 to 85 degrees all low setting and capped frame rates (60)
Cpu is i7 8700 with stock cooler
I dont know if this is good or bad can some one confirm if this is normal temperature ?

Pretty normal for high core usage and a stock cooler. But why low settings? Underpowered gpu?

It is safe, but still warm.
Invest in a decent CPU Cooler if you are worried.

Those temps under load are not dangerous but for peace of mind and in the long run it's better to bring them down to around 60-70 C with a better cooler.

As ElectrO_90 posted, Noctua make very good coolers.

its little on the higher side even for a stock cooler, when did you last changed the thermal grease and did some cleaning ?

under load a lock chip with stock cooler should remain under 80C
i would change thermal grease , do some cleaning and add a case fan or two to make a good air flow.

I got 4 fans and it like 2/3 month ago that I cleaned it
