Hi guys. I'm using MSI CLICKBIOSII to read my cpu temp and i have 47c at idle which i believe is too high? But when i use Core Temp, the temp is around 23c at idle. Which one should i trust? is this normal? I have a fx 6300 with stock cooler. Maybe i need to upgrade to a aftermarket cooler soon. ( i was to but i didn't feel like taking everything out of the mobo again)

Can you update your bios? Since it may be reading incorrectly, that is you might need to update it.

You could do this manually. Take off the case cover and boot up, when you're on idle and everything has loaded into finality, hover your hand over the fan about 5 inches away. If it's warm from that distance, it might be too hot.

I didn't say you quoted the temps wrong, just that one of the temps is reported wrong (either room temp or CPU temp). CPU can not be cooler that room temp, unless you have certain type of active cooling on it (thermocoupling, liquid nitrogen, compressor, etc).
