CPU Temp Question

Are these CPU temps high? Was playing Dark Souls 3 (3 hours, started monitoring right when I began playing) and averages are around 50c, but there seemed to be spikes in the high 70s. Is this normal? Idle temps are 25c - 30c and when I run prime95 (26.6) temps are below 80c.

Definitely safe temps. Nothing to worry about. If you are really worried though, you have a few options. You could add a couple extra fans to the cooler to do a push-pull setup if you have the room in the case, or you could set your CPU voltage in the bios so it isn't variable. Looks like a decent amount of variation between low and high so i suspect the bios is automatically setting it.

I believe it is set to variable. I'll give that a shot. Is there a consensus on cooler fan orientation? The corsair directions said it should be used as intake (which is how I have it), but I see a lot of people say it should be exhaust.
