I have an i7 2600k OCed to 4.7ghz cooled by a Noctua NH-D14. My case is a Cougar Panzer Max loaded with a whole bunch of Noctua Fans.
With the side panel off and Prime 95 running my CPU sits happily at 70c but as soon as I put the side panel back on the CPU thermal throttles within 5 seconds. I'm not sure how the cooling could be any better yet it overheats. I've replaced the thermal compound on the CPU and it's had no effect. I'm unsure what to do
