Question Cpu temp spikes to 95~

Hello folks so i got a i5 13600 with rtx 4080, psu is corsair 1000hxi, 1tb nvme samsung, 3 front intake fans, 1 rear exhaust fan and noctua u12a for cpu cooler and most games run on ok temps but in god of war 2018 i am getting spikes to 95 temp but the average is like 78 temps mostly… should i be concerned? Gpu temp is at steady 61~

Sorry forgot to mention my motherboard; asus ROG strix b660F ddr 5 and my ram is also ddr 5 4*16gb, case is corsair 4000
Motherboard is up to date since it won’t support the 13th gen
Room temp is around 20c

I don't think anything's wrong here if the average temperature over time is 78C. A spike in temperature may just mean one of the P-cores went into PL1 turbo boost.

Plus the maximum temperature for these chips is 100C. You're still under the limit even if it's hitting 95

Might want to try a fan or two on top for exhaust. Might not be expelling the heat as fast as it is building up.

Look in the BIOS for the option that lets you use the older microcode version, 0x104. This microcode allows you to undervolt on B660 boards. A 25°C drop in CPU temperature during full load Cinebench R23 testing while still being stable is kind of nice. The default CPU voltage is excessive. The extra heat this voltage creates is not necessary.
