CPU temp too hot

I was testing my CPU by stressing with Heavyload and under 100%load temps went above +80%. Isn't that too much? should I clean my heatsink and attach it again? Screenshot here:

what is the speed of the cpu fan also try this on on sensor page https://www.hwinfo.com/download.php this look like you stil use the stock cooler and it could not handle the load you ask to cooldown the cpu .

Yeah that's a bit high. I'd check the fan rpm and make sure the heatsink is attached and seated properly. If so, maybe pull it off and put some new thermal paste in there.

I have not messed with heat sink from years so I dont think is not attached and seated properly maybe it has become dusty ?

when was the last time you replace the paste because some dry after a few years .

3-4 years since last time.

i would repaste using mx2 or mx4 they do not need cure time and in the same time clean the fin of the cooler with compressed air can whe clean the fan but sometimes forgot to clean the fin .

With an i5-650..probably close to 100% load depending on how your graphics settings are set.
