I have an AMD-FX 6300 OC'd to about 4.1GHz, on an ASUS M5A97 R2.0 motherboard. My CPU was running under full load, and got up to 42C on my stock AMD heatsink, and only 34-35C with a Corsair H60. Is 34-35C an ideal temperature? I have a million fans in this case, as well XD

Thats *really good* :) FX chips are stable up to about 90 degrees if I remember correctly so nothing to worry about.

At those temps I'd push your overclock a bit more (maybe try for 4.5 ghz? If it isn't stable on stock voltage a slight increase to vCore should sort it out). A load temperature of around 60 is safe enough so you still have plenty of thermal room left.

😀 That's great! Doing everything I can to mess around with my rig today for a little fun before gaming later on! Thanks a lot!

Do you know what a decent voltage for 4.5GHz would be? Here are my specs:

AMD-FX 6300 6-Core (OC'd @ 4.1GHz currently)
Sentey ERP750-PM (750W PSU)
x2 ASUS R7 250X 2GB (OC'd to 1,090/1.1k MHz core)
x5 120mm case fans, plus my Corsair H60 (so cooling isn't a problem)
An HDD, and an SSD, know that really doesn't matter
ASUS M5A97 R2.0 (Latest BIOS)
