Question CPU temperature concerns ?

My current PC specs are:

Motherboard: MSI Pro Z790-P WiFi
CPU: Intel i9-14900KF
GPU: Nvidia Geforce RTX 4080
RAM: 2 x Corsair DDR5-4800 32GB
SSD: 1 x WD Black SN850X 2TB
OS: Windows 11 Pro 64-bit

While this is my first time owning a pc with liquid cooling its a 360mm Addressable RGB Liquid Cooler from IBUYPOWER. I'm trying to figure out what is normal for the CPU temperatures i'm supposed to be getting while it's idle and while im gaming on it?

I have noticed while idle it's usually around 30-40c and while gaming it goes up to 80 -90c so i'm not exactly sure if that is too hot or what the case is regarding the specs. If anyone could give me help or has any idea what the normal cpu temp range is supposed to be with these specs i would appreciate it.

Those idles temps are very good. Your load temps are not bad. That CPU is extremely power hungry. What game is giving your 80-90C?

The system is mostly likely setup with power limits removed (which is what MSI's "water cooling" BIOS setting does). If you run HWInfo you can look at the PL1/2 limits and if they're very high that means power limits are indeed removed.

If this is the case then it's up to you whether or not you want it running that way. Technically it's acceptable and certainly within the confines of the warranty.

Thank you @MrN1ce9uy for the indept overview of pc temps with loads thats very useful. i'm currently playing Hell Divers 2 and Hunt Showdown, normally while i play i try to keep my window open so my room isnt a heater, i have my fan ceiling on and a side fan to blow towards me and a mini fan that blows towards the computer tower so its not as hot but even still the temps get decently high so not to overheat i do all of that. but from what @thestryker has said as well im not 100% sure on if i need to change any settings in my BIOS or not since i have never messed with that before.
