[SOLVED] CPU temperature gone to 91C

Hello Guys,
My CPU Temperature gone to 91c as i forgot to connect cpu fan connector to the MOBO & this caused the issue. My question is this temperature was lasted for about 2 hours, so does this effect my motherboard in any manner ?.

It shouldn't. But only time and usage will tell if it did. As long as the situation is fixed, there shouldn't be any further possibility of potentially damaging heat, so it's either broke or it isn't.

I don't think you should have too much to worry about. What CPU and what motherboard?

Fortunately, almost all CPUs have a TJMax of around 95C. So 2 hours worth of 91C load is perfectly okay, the CPU can easily handle it.

Of course, if your overvolting, or stay in the high 80s-90s for very extended periods of time, then that would start to cause accelerated degradation.

Let it cool down, connect the fan, then do some CPU stress tests, let them run for some time - half and hour shall be enough.
If you get no crashes, you're fine.

I am surprised that you were able to run.
Most motherboards will not start if they do not detect a cpu fan header running at 500 rpm.
Not to worry though.
The intel processors monitor temperatures and will slow down if they detect a dangerous temperature.
That point is around 100c.
Likely, you were running throttled and no damage should have occurred.

Thanks Guys for support the issue is the CPU cooler fan replaced the fan and the temperature back to 35C to 45C.
