Hello everyone. My CPU started hitting temps between 95-100c under no load. This first happened with nothing open other than my email and NZXT Cam.

I have tried everything from reseating the cooling block (and ensured the thermal paste was good), ensured the pump was plugged in fully to the motherboard and updated my fan settings in the bios. I have had the pc for about 18 months and have never had an issue with cpu temps until now.

My Specs are below:
-CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x
-Cooler: MSI Mag series coreliquid 240r AIO
-GPU: RTX 2070 Super
-MOBO: ASUS ROG STRIX B550F Gaming
-RAM: 2x8gb Trident GSkill 3600 DDR4
-Storage: 500gb WD PCIE gen 3 NVME SSD and 2TB seagate barracuda had
-Power: EVGA 750w 80 plus bronze

Please help!

You can see pump rpm in bios, but that's all.
It doesn't tell you if the pump's impeller is loose - it can still spin too.
It doesn't tell you if there's any blockage somewhere else in the loop - pump can't do anything about that.

Mount the AIO in the PC like this, if you haven't already:
iu

If that's not physically possible, then do it manually.

If that doesn't work, RMA the cooler... probably better to not get another one of those, period.
