My CPU is running at 63 degrees and i'm not doing anything. What can I do? It normally runs at 33 degrees when I have every window closed. Is my Corsair H115i broken or what? Thank you!

Hello..

Please start the Taskmanager and go to the "Perfomance" Tab... how high is the CPU Usage?
Maybe there is a background task working...
Like Windows Defender or something like that

Yes i tried to reboot, but it gives me the same results. What do you mean? (Also, is the fan ramping up to compensate). I looked in the MSI Gaming App and it says that the CPU is running at 4500Mhz, I don't know if that's normal...

4500MHz is normal for the 7700k when you're playing games. If you're just idle, there is something else at play.

My guess is that you are running something in the background which is making your CPU clock to its turbo setting. Make absolutely sure that you have nothing demanding running in the background, and run a malwarebytes scan.

4500 is the turbo speed.
It suggests to me that you have some sort of app that is running the cpu.
Look in task manager to see what it is.
It could be something like a virus scan or an indexing operation.
63c would be a good temperature under load.

At idle with no activity, I would expect 10c. over ambient.

The CPU usage is at 17-20%.

You have a single threaded task that is running something.
the 17% you see is the activity of that task spread over 8 threads.

select the resource monitortab on task manager
Then, on the cpu section sort on activity high to low.
If you do not recognize the program, use google to find out.
