Basically, my CPU has started reaching up to 100 degrees celsius when playing games. Before, it reached 65 degrees celsius maximum and now it goes up to 100. Any ideas?

Solution
Well the quick answer is either it is because of summer [high room temperature] and the cooler can't handle the heat. Secondly if you have a good cooler, then maybe it's not holding tight anymore or the thermal paste is too old.

Also check for dust. DUST could be the killer. If you see dust, remove it with "air in a can" to get rid of dust in electronics or similar way.

If it's not that then I can't think of anything right now.
