My pc has been turning off about 10 min's after its been turned on so i checked the bios which said the cpu was at 128 C but when i touch the heat sink etc it felt nowhere near that. So i then went int CPUZ and it says around 60-70 idle. Its my own built pc and the cpu is an AMD athalon X4. Could it be a motherboard fail with the temp reader or something wrong with my cpu? i did jiggle around the heat sink a small bit and it hasent turned off yet but its not been very long.

Solution
your cpu is overheating yuo can check if the heatsink is not dirty or dusty if it is it can cause to overheat and if not try to reseat your heatsink and reapply thermal paste

After the last couple weeks studding the temps and resetting heat sink etc, i think it is just the stock AMD cooler is S*** and i will just have to buy a new heat sink.
