CPU temperature spikes when moving my mouse

Hi everyone,

I've recently noticed each time I start moving my mouse back and forth, the CPU temp spikes from 40 to 57 in an instant, then it immediately falls when I stop moving it. I use MSI Afterburner to see my temps.

Is this normal or should I be worried?

Completely normal and expected. Nothing to be concerned about.

Thats because in order to move your cursor you CPU has to do some work, which requires power. As it draws this power it creates heat.

so yes this is normal.
