Cpu temperature too high?

I have an i5 4670k and as of now it's getting around 90° C while gaming. stock cooler, just changed thermal compound and the cooler is firmly placed, any ideas why it is so high?

Your heatsink might not be working right. Do you have another processor to test the heatsink on? If its not working right I recommend this heatsink: www.newegg.com/global/ie/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835119158 I have it in my gaming pc at the moment and my cpu never goes higher than 25°C.
