Im running my Intel i7 3770k at max frequency of 4.2 Ghz. It reaches a MAX temp of 55 degrees while being tortured. Idle Temps are about 35 degrees.

Should i be concerned about this? Should i push it further? At what point Should i be concerned with a temperature.

thanks

i've got mine to 4.3 at lowish voltage, maxing at 65ish. I've stopped there, its far enough away from throttling that it is very unlikely to effect longevity. 90 I would suggest would have a chance to shorten lifespan, as I treat the throttling as being a safety feature, and you shouldn't use it too close to that imo.

fyi i'm on a 3570k
