Hello,
I have an FX 8350, and a Corsair H100. I have read that normal idle temps with this aio liquid cooler are around 40c to 45c. However, my temps are 23c to 24c and my room temps are 21 to 22c. I realize that full load temperatures are more important but I thought these idle temps were pretty good. Im using artic silver 5 thermal paste, and 2 stock fans that came with the cooler and 2 cougar fans at 100% speed. Just curious to everyone's thoughts.

What is it you are wanting to know?

There is no "normal" idle temps, as my "normal" idle temp if my ambient temperature in my room is 21℃ (Which it is) my idle temp might be 24℃ while somebody with an ambient room temp of 30℃ might have an idle temp of 33℃ with an identical configuration and hardware. If your idle is a few degrees above ambient, depending on your fan control configuration and CPU, and your max temp is below the max setting that your CPU either throttles or shuts down at.

I was just seeing if these are normal results for this cooler. I've seen other test results on other forums with the same ambient temps as me but the cpu running 40c to 45c idle. I thought that was a bit high as mine is only a few degrees Celsius over ambient temperatures idle.

So you're saying that for most AIO's that idle temps should only be a few degrees over room temperature? So more than likely the tests done with results at 40 to 45c idle with room temps around 21c to 22c may have not mounted the cooler correctly or may have pump issues.

That sounds like pretty good temps, and matches what was said about being only a few degrees over room temp.

Also, which AIO do you fell is best out of the following 3 listed (I know custom loops would be a better, but strictly for just AIO's):

1. Corsair H100 (240 Rad)
2. Corsair H110 (280 Rad)
3. Thermaltake 3.0 Ultimate (360 Rad)

I am just wondering what anyone has to say about these coolers over one another, of if anyone has any experience with them. I did hear that the thermaltake is just "O.K." temps, until you overclock which then it outperforms. So maybe for people who don't overclock the other two might be a better solution.

I just happened to come back across this thread by accident, and thought I'd add something. Fact is, this best answer should never have been chosen. Room temps ARE ambient temps, so this answer made very little sense.

What it should have said was that with a decent budget cooler and good case fans, system temps will be manageable and well within the specified thermal envelope.

You will pretty much never be able to keep system temps anywhere near ambient temp unless you have massive amounts of case airflow and a top shelf CPU cooling solution whether air or liquid. You certainly won't have temps near ambient with a budget cooler no matter how good your case fans are.
