I have an Asus rog strix g with an i5-9300H. For some months, to control temps. , I had lowered the maximum state processor in power options to 99% and temps were always 70-80c, but I don't know why from past few weeks my temps are going above 95c with the same 99% setting??????

Please someone help me!!!!!!

What might have changed in the past few weeks?

When gaming you are heavily using the discrete graphics chip, adding heat to the internals. 99c. is very hot, but if you are not throttling, I suppose it is tolerable.
100c. is the throttle point.

If your airways are clear, that is about the best you can do.
Possibly one of those laptop cold plates might help a bit.

Possibly, your cpu cooler fan is not working at full capacity.
You could try reseating the cpu cooler and use new paste.
Possibly the cooler was not installed sell during factory assembly.
Be careful if you try that.

I don't think anything has changed, but as i said the stress tests and all other heavy tasks keep it at 70-75c but only on gaming does it reach such high temps. Sooo i don't think the cooler has anything to do with it?

Do the 'stress tests' stress your video card, or just the CPU? Maybe the heat from the video card during gaming is contributing to your CPU temperature.
Yeah the stress test only stresses the CPU but gpu contributing to cpu temps is highly unlikely coz i have noted gpu temps to be around 85c while cpu at 97-99c.

Run hwmonitor.
It will give you the current, minimum and maximum temperatures.
Look first at the idle cpu temperatures.
It should be 10-15c. over ambient.
If it is significantly higher, it indicates that your cpu cooler is not doing the job.
Perhaps it has come loose and needs to be remounted.
Perhaps the cooler fans are not running well.

Then look at the max cpu temperature.
If you see 100c. it indicates that you have throttled.
If you have not throttled, live with the high temperatures.
85c. is a common target temperature for a graphics card.

The idle temps are between 35-45c but it has always been the case from the day I bought it. Whereas max temps hovers around 97-98c but never throttled once.
