My CPU temps according to BIOS are showing -55 degrees celcius. I updated BIOS from gigabyte's F8 to F10b but it still shows -55? Can someone help me to fix this please?

Mobo: Aorus Ultra Z390
CPU: i5-9600K
GPU: RTX 2060
RAM: 2X8 GB Corsair Vengence LPX 3200 DDR4
Cooler: Silverstone TD02-RGB

Is this a new build?
I expect to see 10 to 15c. over ambient at idle.
Something is wrong with the cooler or installation.

Some things to check:

Did you remove a protective mylar film from the cpu block?

Are the radiator fans turning?

Can you feel the pump vibrating?
Is the pump connected to a pump fan header where it will run at 100% all the time.?

Is the pump tightened down securely and evenly?

I don't know exactly where the sensor is that gets the temp readings, but I'm going to be that sensor is shot and probably not fixable. I know that doesn't help you any, but I'm guessing you won't be able to get it read correctly and you'll likely just have to ignore the temp reading, or get the CPU replaced if it's still under warranty.

Or, if the sensor is part of the motherboard socket and not the CPU, you might have to get the motherboard replaced.

And I am likely completely wrong. Just guessing knowing the fickle nature of temp sensors in other fields. If they are reading that far off, they are typically shot.
