is 40 degrees C a safe cpu temprature after running a game on maxed everything for 2 hours.
normally starts up at around 25

Yep, that's just fine. 60+ is where the danger zone begins, so don't worry about 40. 😀

And just to head off another possible post, GPU temps typicly range above 55-60C. GPU's handle heat alot better than CPU's.

40c is nothin mine gets to 50-60c while gaming and dude the gpu should always be hotter than the cpu!
