Cpu that fits motherboard

Hello, i have a gigabite Z170X- Gaming 3 G1 Gaming Motherboard LGA 1151. I wanted to upgrade my pc but my cpu didnt fit.. i was checking for used cpus and i came over these ones: AMD A-series A6-6400 APU , i3-2100 3.10 GHz / 3M / 5GT/s , i3-2120 3.30 GHz / 3M / 5GT/s , i5-3470 3.20 GHz / 6M / 5GT/s. Which ones could fit inside that socket? Please answer quick offers come and go

None of the ones you listed, you need a skylake cpu for that board so a 6100, 6400, 6500, 6600k, 6700, or 6700k

However there's little point in a Z170 for an i5-6400
Furthermore depending on the main purpose of this build an i5-6500 would be what i aim for at least.
In addition while a Z170 support all i5/i3-6x000+i7-6700, it really only is worth it with an i5-6600k/i7-6700k+cooler

The i5-6400 will fit that motherboard. However, the i5-6400 cannot be overclocked while the Z170X motherboard is capable of overclocking.

If you have intensions to overclock (now), you would want an i5-6600K or an i7-6700K (both are overclockable). If you never want to overclock or no intension in the future to do so, then a locked CPU (like the i5-6400) will do (though you'll not be taking advantage of the motherboard's capabilities).

Suppose you decide to get a locked CPU, a better alternative in price/performance would be the i5-6500.
