i was wondering if i put to much thermal compond on my cpu i used http://www.arcticsilver.com method it was was vertical line like they used arcticsilver 5 on the 7th gen i5 7600k with 212x heatsink
do you thank my systems ok im on it right now when i booted it up it was staying in the 27c 28c 29c area in the bios when i was in there setting thangs up for around good couple minutes

Arctic silver recommends the line method if you read the manual. Additionally, if you watch delidding videos and actually see what the processor looks like under the heat spreader, you'll realize a line method is quite appropriate. Think of if this way, thermal paste application is only important to a certain degree. People don't realize intel uses VERY cheap thermal interface material INSIDE of the processor, so as long as you don't put WAY too much or WAY too little, you'll be in good shape. Those idle times are good. What heat sync are you using and what are you temperatures under full load?
