This never happened before but I just ran a cinebench r20 and afterwards my core clocks were all over the place, definitely throttling. My cpu didn't hit tjmax though, only about 87c which is still high, I know but I didn't think it would throttle at that temp. I'm running 4.7ghz 1.265v on 8700k. I've ran it countless times without this issue.
Using hwinfo and coretemp to monitor temps and voltages.
Edit: Just ran it again, hit 88c and didn't throttle. VRM temps at 56c. Why would it throttle once at a lower temperature and not again at a higher one? I do have c-states enabled, not sure if that has anything to do with it.
