So whenever I run prime95, after 2 minutes my CPU always goes down to 0.8Ghz (from 3.2) as the CPUTIN maximum in HWMonitor reaches 105C exactly and the cores get to a max of 55C.
Some people are saying that HWMonitor's reading on the CPUTIN is bad and shouldn't be considered (I mean the "max" CPUTIN temps are rising while the "current" values never rise that much), but it's clear that throttling is happening.
So while using HWMonitor the "current" temps on:
-CPU cores never reach more than 55C
-CPUTIN never reach more than 51C, even tho the "max" sais 105C
while using P95
To be noted that I also get lag spikes in games like NFS Payback if I don't cap my FPS at 30 with RivaTuner, and they are for sure related to cpu because as the CPU reaches 100% in MSI afterburner the spike happens and usually the core temperature lowers at the same time, while GPU usage goes down
So what the hell, my temps never come close to the max's of my AMD Phenom II X4 955 of 62C but throttling still happens?...man I might change my career path xD
