Question CPU throttling while GPU temps are fine

New thermal paste, issue was happening with AIO cooler so I changed to a CPU fan, this seemed to improve temps while gaming but it is still throttling after a while of playing. I thought it could've been my airflow, which I fixed by turning my CPU fan around, but the issue still pursues.

I have fresh thermal paste and no OC enabled.

Any help?

please include how the airflow in your case is setup and how many fans you have in your case. Ambient room air temps as well as your platform's temps also adds context to the predicament you're facing.

Is it an airflow problem?​

I have no OC enabled, and I'm on fresh paste.
Rest of PC is at good temps, seems to just be the CPU.

I can provide pictures or benchmarks if necessary.

The CPU cooler is inadequate for an i9. The site rates at 150W TDP. The 11900K in particular can consume well over that.

You need at least a dual tower air cooler.

Any reccomendations, I bought this cooler because it was a good size for my PC as it is quite cramped. I can send a picture if needed.

Seeing your current cooler has a height of 155mm, a Noctua NH-D12L or Scythe Fuma 2will fit. Corsair also lists the max CPU cooler height to be 170mm, so a BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro 4 or a DeepCool AK620 should also fit.

Appreciate it bro, one more question, can I fit 2 fans on top of my case blowing onto my cpu heatsink as an alternative?
