My current CPU is fx 6300 i wanted to upgrade it preferably to intel

My mobo is Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3
I got a 500w PSU
and 8 gigs of ram

You cannot put an Intel cpu in that motherboard. There is no cpu worth upgrading too that will work with your motherboard.

+1, there is literally no upgrade worth the money on that board. You can't use 125w CPUs on it like the FX-8350 (they will boot but will fail) and even if you did, its not much of a boost. And no intel will work on that board.
