Hello, well i've just built my own pc and it's running fine and all, but when i want to play some games, the pc freezes and crashes, and i have to restart, so after doin some digging, i think the problem is it overheats, since i ran some temperatures readin programs, and i find that my cpu it's at 70°C, when im not playin haven't tested while playin, but i'm pretty sure the problem lies there, but i have no idea why it's so hot, can you help me please?
tell me what can be causing it to become too hot and how to make it cooler thanks.

specs cpu:i7-790k
mb: asus maximus vii gene
psu: cooler master 750w
os: windows 7 professional

1. Do you have a lot of dust in your heatsink?
2. Is there thermal paste applied properly on the bottom of your heatsink?

I would say you need to clean your heatsink of dust, and reapply thermal paste. If you have only the stock heatsink, consider investing a little bit in an aftermarket cooler (Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO is a great all-purpose choice).

i just applied thermal paste and i dont have a any dust, since it's pretty much new but im guessin my heatsink was kinda bad so imma buy a new one and see if that works also gonna try to change my chase fans postions, to see if that works
