CPU update for Intel processor

Hi Members,

I was curious how the update to fix the issue or bug on Intel and AMD processors would be applied.

I own a i7 4790k but not sure if it would be done through Windows update or done manually via their websites.

Is it a serious problem to be worrying about. I know the CPUs will be running slower and hope it won't effect gaming performance.

Its via Windows update, its software so no BIOS or firmware updates will fix it.
