Hi All,

Currently have - 5600x / 3080 / 32gb ram (3200mhz) - 1440 @ 144hz , I am noticing price drops on higher end CPUs of the same generation (namely 5900x).
I know AM4 socket is done and this is the only next step I will have for an upgrade without swapping the motherboard (which is only 1 year old).

Now the only reason I'd want to do that - is to make sure if there are any games which will be coming out optimized for 8+ cores, I am set.
As well I had noticed in games with heavy action and online play i.e. back 4 blood - my frames tank pretty bad when in a sweaty action - say from 180 - 200fps > down to 80-90fps. (does not depend on settings).

Some screens -

I am not sure why the above is happening, CPU is showing usage of 30-40% , and GPU usage actually drop during the heavy action - might it be due to some of the cores maxed and CPU cant feed the GPU enough frames?
Those are the only 2 concerns I have now.

If I could get more constant frames, I would not even consider upgrading for now.
Any advice appreciated.

CPU: Ryzen 5600x @ stock speeds
Motherboard: B550 Aorus Master
Ram: 32GB - Hyperx Kingston DDR4 (3200mhz)
SSD/HDD: NVMe SSD - 1TB (dont recall the brand)
GPU: 3080 MSI Suprim X - running at 16x - PCIe4 (Slight OC +100 Core / 150 on vram) - tried to OC same results.
PSU: RM 850 Gold corsair
Chassis: Lian Li lancool 2 mesh
OS: Windows 10 - 21H1 - latest updates installed
Monitor: : LG - 27GN800-B

Your Back 4 Blood performance looks odd. I’m running a 3700x & 3080 @ 1440p and don’t see those types of drops.

Anyway there is an expected refresh coming to AM4 early next year with their 3D Cache. This has claimed >10% single core improvements.

I don’t see the point of going to another cpu of the same generation.

This is what I feel as well. I watched numerous Youtube videos and not seeing anything like that.
I had confirmed my 3d mark scores are ok - i get around 15700 overall , 18600 on GPU / around 8300 on CPU , everything is fine.

Tried to tweak power management profiles / Made sure nothing is running on the back ground. Installed latest chipset drivers / latest bios / reinstalled the game.
Tried running without MSI afterburner.

Tried messing with Re-BAR on / off - doesnt seem to do much.

Temps are fine as you can see. I am short of reinstalling windows clean now... any advices would be really appreciated.
