CPU upgrade advice

Hi I currently have an AMD FX 8350 with a GTX 770 4gb graphics card and I get okay performance in games on medium to high settings but I want to upgrade to an Intel Core i7-4790K. would this CPU give me better performance in games such as ARMA 3, Star Craft 2, Battlefield 4, Witcher 2(and 3 when it comes out)?

Simply overclock that FX-8350 and you'll get good performance out of it too. i7 is just not needed for gaming.

I would recommend i7 to video and photo editors but not to gamers. Go with i5 instead, they cost less and give better performance in games

You will also need to change your motherboard. (obviously)

Slight Boost For the I7 Like max 3-4 fps but i'd rather go for a i7 4960k its better for gaming. and u need a z97 chipset mobo

You're wrong, i7 is not better for gaming at all. It costs a lot more though.

Dude I Said max 3-4...it means just in few games which use HT. Like Bf4,Watchdogs i have two pcs with same config though cpu are differnt and Yes I agree price to performance ratio for an i is way Better than an i7
