I am thinking of upgrading my CPU as the CPU is now 6 years old Intel Core i5-3570K 3 gen although the mobo was replaced about 2 years ago by Asrock even though it was out of warranty, I just paid postage, very impressive. Given I am now running a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 GPU upgraded from a GTX 970 eight months ago. I'm thinking I should be able to get a significant performance upgrading to the Intel Core i5 9600K 3.7GHz and a decent Mobo and 3000 mhz 16 gig memory. Would this be the case or am I better waiting a bit for the next gen CPU or is my GPU being seriously bottlenecked by the CPU, Mobo and Memory. The type of games I play are Driving sims F1, Project cars etc. Battlefield series, TombRaider, Cod WW11 etc. It is quite hard to gauge if you have nothing to compare against so I'm hoping someone has a clearer idea of the benefits, all the games seem to play fine and make good use of the 144hz 1920 x 1080 monitor. My specs are as follows:

Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz SKT1155 6MB Cache (overclock 4.2)
