CPU Upgrade Asus G70S laptop

Hello. I have just recently obtained a dated but well working 2008 laptop from Asus. i have only $300.00 spent on this thing but it works well. i was wondering since it came with an Intel core duo 2.5ghz processor can it be upgraded? any suggestions would be helpful. Thank You

4GB DDR ram not sure on what class ddr1,2etc
Nvidia 8700M GT SLI
2x WDC 300GB 7200rpm drives No raid
Matshita Blu Ray DVD combo drive
1920x1200 display
Windows 7Ultimate 64Bit

Don't think it can be upgraded. It's limited to its socket type only. So you probably can replace it only with CPUs of the same generation, and since the T9300 was one of the best, don't think you can upgrade it by much. Forget about new i5 or i7 they won't be compatible (different socket).

Ok thanks guys like i said it was a laptop i picked up for $300.00 so in there i think i did great. Whoever had this before me took very good care of it. since the price was so cheap i was going to experiment some but guess i will just enjoy it as is and count my blessings it works so well.

whatabout the T9900 i just found one on Ebay for $98.00 2.5GHZ-3.06GHZ might be worth it or leave well enough alone. i play mostly 1st person games and watch movies using the smooth motionn effects so a faster processor of this type may help this or No?
