Also, I was told that if I upgrade the processor I would need memory RAM of 3GB minimum because the notebook did not already come with a 2.0GHz processor. So because I have to upgrade RAM and the CPU that would mean I would have to do something with the motherboard or something, rather than just upgrading the CPU alone itself, right?

I just need some help on how I need to go about upgrading the notebook to a processor of 2.0GHz or higher. Or should I just buy a new computer that already has a minimum CPU of 2.0GHz :-{ ? What to do, What to do...I am not a professional at this but I am a fast and quick learner and am here to learn ;-D

Thanks!!!

Generally speaking, you can't upgrade the processor in a laptop. You can upgrade the memory, however it may be hard to find compatible components - this is quite an old system, correct?

I'd recommend a new notebook - you can get a decent spec laptop in the sub-£500 range if all you need it for are office and browsing activities.

Thanks, I'm actually going to be using my computer for work and would need something with more speed and space. I've decided to invest in a newer computer.

Thanks again for your response :)
