hi people, well i have an fx 4100 oced to 4.1ghz using a M578L-M asus mobo and a hyper 212 evo cooler. Im into gaming and 3D modeling and to be honest games run fine even battlefield 4 at decent frames. do you think its worth it in the long run getting an fx 8350 for future high res rendering of models (3DS MAX) and future games...and to be honest lets face it the FX8350 isnt expensive at all...

Just want your opinions and ideas about the 8350 if someone owns one could you tell me more about its performance.

thats what im thinking but im not going to oc it because its already at 4ghz and my fx4100 is at 4.1 which is about 126watts and the 8350 is 126 watts. im pushing it hard with my 500w silverstone 80plus bronze.

Alright go ahead and do that, but I think your next upgrade should be a better PSU - then you can overclock the FX-8350.
And the FX-8350 is better in single-threaded performance, while it blows away the 4100 in multiple-thread performance.

I do gaming and 3d Modelling with my rig too, but i have an FX 6300 OC'd to 4.5ghz stable and i havnt had any problems really. Would i prefer an 8320 over it? yes. but ill upgrade the mobo and CPU at the same time when steamroller comes around

i was thinking about upgrading my psu hagaxe but the 500w will do the job for now, even if i do get a 8350, and beezy cool i want a 8350 not 8320 they are the same cpu but id rather get the 8350 because of the higher clock and same wattage. steam roller? is that better than piledriver?
