Just wondering if people could provide suggestions to upgrade from my i5 4460 CPU. I'm currently looking into a Intel Xeon 1230-V5 CPU but I was wondering if anyone out that had a comparison for this or maybe another possibility?
For the record my budget is probably a maximum of $450 AUD

Cheers

An i7 4790K will drop into your current board and performs 99% as well as Intel's newest i7 6700K. There's not much reason to upgrade your board unless there's something wrong with it.

Sorry I probably should have noted I am planning to upgrade the MOBO as well to go with it

Although Kaby lake chips will work on 1151 socket (so a MOBO upgrade might not be a bad idea). So it might even be worth waiting until those chips are released before you do an upgrade.

Kaby Lake is Skylake Refresh, much like the 4790K was a refresh of the 4770K. It hardly even deserves a new name. The differences between Skylake and Kaby are minimal, mostly consisting of slightly higher stock clockspeeds and native Intel USB 3.1 support, when paired with one of the chipsets Intel will be releasing alongside Kaby.
