hello
i have a samsung NP350E7C-S02IT, i3-3110 chipset Intel HM76 Express, TDP 35w
Is it possible upgrade to i7 quad core? if yes, which one?
Thank you

No. For the following reasons:
  • CPU may be soldered
  • Laptop may not be built to handle the extra power or heat
  • Laptop firmware likely doesn't support it, especially if that configuration wasn't an option for the model

Maybe.

This link shows that it (family model number) was available with the i7-3630QM 2.4 GHz.

If you can confirm that this is the same exact model (with different spec) you might be able to find one of the above and install it, IF other things mentioned by hotaro above are not the case.

To be fair, it probably won't be worth the effort unless you can find that part nearly free. Time for an update.

Certainly a socketed CPU.

TDP of that i7 is 45W, which may be a strain on the cooling solution.

I agree, that CPU is maybe $30 used, you risk it not working and being unable to deal with the seller or the platform you bought it through. You would also need to purchase thermal paste and pads, another $15-20.

$50 is halfway to a newer entire used laptop:

i5-5300U, 16GB ram, 500GB hard drive for $100
