Hi,
I plan on upgrading my GPU from Gigabyte GTX660 to EVGA GTX980 on Cyber Monday, and I was also thinking of upgrading my CPU (see title) since there will probably be sales. I know there are better CPUs for the same price, but they are newer ones that requires LGA-1150 sockets (I have 1155).
But my question is, would it really be worth it? How flagrant would the difference be?

Just in case:
- GPU upgrade: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487079
- current CPU: http://ark.intel.com/products/69114/Intel-Core-i5-3350P-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_30-GHz
- CPU upgrade: http://ark.intel.com/products/65523
-RAM: Gigabyte 8GB
-Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B75M-HD3

Thank you.

Solution
For gaming you would see little to no difference.

For video encoding, 3d modeling, media production an i7 will be noticeable.
Now since that i7 is the previous generation I don't know if you will find anyone with it on sale.

I guess I'm not getting one until my next rig. Thank you.
