[SOLVED] CPU Upgrade got me lower frames

I upgraded my Cpu yesterday from a Ryzen 5 2600 to a Ryzen 9 5900x did bios got it working and jumped into a game. I noticed I wasn't getting good frames it didn’t feel like an upgrade at all and am curious why?
Specs:
Ryzen 9 5900x
MSI RTX 2060
2x 8 GIG Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro Ram
MSI B450M Gaming Plus

Depends on the game but the GPU may be the limiting factor depending on resolution and quality settings.

It could be possible the game's threads are jumping between CCDs, which has a significant latency penalty, but I don't think that would offset the IPC gains between Zen+ and Zen 3. You could try setting the game's CPU affinity by half (either check the first half or second half of the CPU affinity list) to see if that makes a difference.

Another issue could be RAM, depending on its specs.

Also probably wouldn't hurt to unstall any current chipset drivers and reinstall from Amd if you didn't do that.
