CPU Upgrade Help?

I'm looking at upgrading my current CPU to a better one. The one I have now is awesome- but the one I am looking at could be even better for heavy video editing and gaming.

  - I have a Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 (Rev 3.0) motherboard
  - BIOS version/date: American Megatrends Inc. FC, 1/28/2013
  - SMBIOS Version: 2.7

My current CPU is an AMD FX-6200, I am looking at upgrading to an AMD FX-8350.
According to PCPartPicker.com, these two parts are compatible. But someone told me to check to ensure I had the correct BIOS version and Revision of my motherboard. Are the parts still compatible? I have no idea how to check without buying and putting the 8350 into my computer. Would save me some hassle if someone knew the correct answer. Please let me know! I'll happily answer any questions over things I may have forgotten to put on this thread.

This maybe the mobo and revision

According to this if you install the FX-8350 it needs BIOS FA to support that CPU

AMD FX-8350 4000MHz 1MBx8 8MB Vishera 32nm C0 125W 5200 FA

According to this its the 1st BIOS. So it should work

Okay... I have never done a CPU upgrade before, could you give me the steps on what to do?
I have an FC BIOS right now, but the FA is what is needed for the FX-8350 correct? So would I download and install the FA version now- or wait until the 8350 is in my computer? Not sure how to proceed with this... I apologize for my naive-ness.

FC is later than FA so you dont have to update the BIOS

Just change the CPU
