[SOLVED] CPU upgrade help

yo i'm thinking about upgrading my CPU. i currently have a ryzen 5 1600 and was thinking about upgrading to a ryzen 5 5600x. is this a good choice? bearing in mind i'd have to upgrade my motherboard as well which is fine with me. i have a GTX 1070ti atm... will a 5600x work well with it? running at 1080p 144hz, 16gb ram @3200Mhz. also, could someone recommend a decent motherboard for a 5600x (cheap-ish) thanks.

It'd be a very good CPU upgrade, something like an MSI B550m Bazooka motherboard would be a good shout to go with it.

if you dont need pcie4.0 then b550 boards are cheap, and good enough for r5 5600x (u get pcie4 for gpu and 1x m2, rest is pcie3)

Your current mainboard might influence your decision, unless you plan on also upgrading mainboards...
