As the title says, is it worth it to be looking into this upgrade at this point? My budget isn't very high, and my current specs are:

- i5 3570k delidded & repasted w Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut

- Asrock Z77 Extreme6

- Corsair H100i CPU Cooling

- 16 GB Corsair Vengeance Ram

- MSI GeForce GTX 980ti Gaming 6G

- 120GB Kingston SSD

- 1TB Toshiba HDD

- Aerocool Templarius 850W 80+ Silver PSU

- Xigmatek Frontliner Case

Also, if I were to upgrade, I should get the Gigabyte GA-Z170X Gaming 7 mobo too right?

How is the performance of the system? I'd figure with the AIO cooling and deliding you'd be able to get quite a good overclock. As for what to upgrade to I'd skip the 6700K and go for a 8600K or 9600K (when it comes out) it would be a cheaper and better upgrade, plus as stated above you'll need DDR4 and a Z370/Z390 motherboard.

The performance was great, but the thermals seem to be very high lately, hitting up to 80+ deg when gaming. Previously thermals hit 70 max, am wondering if it was a result of dusty radiators from the H100i cooling.

Also, lately there's been some bsod errors, such as critical_process_died, or clock_watchdog_timeout or irql_not_less_or_equal. All three errors happened on reboot just recently.

(PS am new to pc stuffs, pardon any newbie questions / statements)

Alright thanks! Will definitely look into it, am looking to seek professional PC Builders from my region to help with building when it comes to it

AIO water coolers can possibly suffer from some evaporation around the 5 yr mark. If the fans are clean and that isn't the issue I would keep my eye on that. (I'm not sure of the best way possible to confirm when / if evaporation is the cause.

Try cleaning out the system and if the temps don't improve then you may need to lower your overclock (if it was overclocked).

It was overclocked to 4.5 ghz, i lowered it to 4 and it helped a lot, no crashes as of now
That aside, the main reason I'm looking to upgrade is that I've taken up to some editting (Adobe AE etc.) and I feel that the i5 3570k isn't really as optimal for such things and gaming. My GPU is fine too right?
