CPU/Upgrade Need assistance.

Hello,

I need help confirming if whether or not these CPU will work on my board, Current PC is a Pre-Build Acer M3450-UR30P. People say the MotherBoard is an [rs880pm-am] I'm not sure myself and the sticker that has it is missing. Someone told me once that an FX-8350 would be able to work on my system but then I googled stuff and started to worry about the 125w vs 95w Mobo requirement thing and started to freak out. Should I just consider going for an Fx 6300 since its 95w's?

If your worried about 95w the fx-8300 should work. You can then overclock to test the limits of your motherboard.

Dumb question here but which one would you go for ? The Fx-8300 is 3.3GHz while the Fx-6300 is 3.5ghz I know the difference is just 2 threads and such and I don't really plan on OC'ing since I know my Mobo is pretty much useless lol. I also already purchase an CM Hyper 212 for 20$ so I'm good on the cooling already, getting it because I just don't like the CPU hitting 70+ in temps.

I would get the FX-8300 and bump it to the same clock rate. The CM 212 can easliy handle that overclock. It should tust take increasing the CPU ratio by 2. Stock voltage tends to overcompensate so it should be good.
