First Merry Christmas everyone , Well seems i missed on getting a GPU relatively inexpensive so waiting since the k620 is actually proving to be pretty good i am thinking going from my g3220 3.0 to this
Intel-Core-i5-2400-3.1 I found on ebay for $45 free shipping, Yes no? or should i just give in and spend the $150 for a gpu instead? nevermind its the wrong socket..again ebay lied

g3220 use 1150 socket. i5 2400 use 1155 socket motherboard.

yeah i know i just edited the post at the bottom , i swear ebay does nothing but irritate the hell out of me on the lies and misinformation they give,if i wasn't anal on searching i would have just bought this and been none the wiser.

I have been searching forever checking listings on GPU /CPU reading ,comparing on user benchmarks for weeks now. i am at my wits end on all this. I know i have more to get to make this a great gaming pc ,but i am slowly upgrading and I don't want to go the mobo route just yet (i searched my acer veriton case can take a better mobo I want to be able to enable XMB which this mobo bios doesn't allow, but that is way later down the road) . I feel like i am repeating myself on this forum and honestly feel like a huge noob on all this seeing its been 20 years since i have built a pc

You should list your system spec, max budget upgrade, and what is your primary goal of upgrade? This way people knows what you have and what is best bang for your money.

Right now i am going up to $100-$125 (if i can get both in that range great) .I am wanting to start with either a new CPU/GPU , was at around $50-60 with my first posts but i have extra cash now that Christmas is over..lol specs are

Windows 7 Home x64
Case :Acer Veriton M2630G
BIOS: Ver. Acer p21.-a3
PSU :300W
MOBO: Intel H81,
CPU: Intel dual G3220 3.0
GPU: NVIDIA Quadro K620 Xeon CPU E3 1200 4TH GEN
RAM:Crucial UDIMM 1600 12800 DDR3 4GB X2
HDD: SEAGATE ST500DM002 7200RPM

Depends what you want to do. A graphics card upgrade is definitely necessary for gaming, that Quadro is unacceptable for anything except very undemanding games. As long as you will just be playing dual core friendly games, this upgrade is all you need.

However, if you intend to play PUBG on this system, a simple videocard upgrade isn't enough. You'd need to find a Haswell i5 to pop into that motherboard to replace your Pentium. THEN you still need to add a videocard.

Okay well not sure what your idea of undemanding games are , because this quadro even in user benchmark ranks better then alot i see people use , and i can play med-high res on skyrim, fallout new vegas, bfbc2, reign of kings, portal 2, x com declassified and left 4 dead 2. With that being said, i still don't see which direction your suggestion i go . I know i have to go haswell i5 and i know i have to go new gpu, what i needed as input on what would work and names and which first
