I've recently got a new video card (Nvidia GTX 770) to get away from the horrificly bad Radeon HD 5750 I previously had and have had to reduce the clock speed a bit to prevent it bottlenecking my CPU (still better than the previous card). However I now have the money to upgrade my CPU as well to prevent the bottlenecking and so I can use my GPU to its full. Is it possible to upgrade CPU (suggest models please) without changing the mobo, I know my current one is towards the top end of its compatibility. Its FM2 slot and think I remember something about 100W limit?!?

Solution
the motherboard is not recognized by MSI.

do you have a HP PRO 3515 MT?

if so, the fasted CPU that came with that is a A10-5800K.

the problem is that the BIOS night not support newer CPUs.
