CPU upgrade question

I currently have a Gateway computer with a ipisb-vr motherboard with a i5 2320 installed. I was curious how far I can upgrade the CPU? Was looking at an i7 of some sort. Maybe i7 3770K.

Any ideas?

X-plane 10 specs say it will use as much resources as your computer has to run optimally. So to add that extra edge I thought since I had cash left over from buying the 770 I would upgrade something else. I have installed the 770 yet but damn is it big. Hope it fits the case!

I doubt that an i7 will do much over an i5 for that game. It would not be worth spending the money. See how it performs with the 770 and then make the decision.

Ok. I should have the card in sometime by the end of Friday.
