CPU Upgrade question

Hi,

I have a question: if I want to upgrade to a new CPU (probably an i7), do i need a new psu?

My specs:
i5 3350P 3,1GHz
Asus Nvidia Geforce GTX760
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 7200rpm
Intel h61 Motherboard
Corsair RM650

No... But why do you feel the need to upgrade that CPU? That's a pretty good CPU.

even if you upgrade to an i7 and 780ti, rm 650 with 54A on the 12V rail, it would still suffice even if you overclock!

If you want better gaming performance, upgrading the GPU is the way to go.
As for the PSU, as the fellows above mentioned, you are fine.

The whole thing is great for gaming actually. No need to upgrade anything for games. But maybe he wants to do advanced video editing or wants to run lots of virtual machines. If so then a Core i7 would be a good upgrade. But we simply have no more info to determine if the upgrade is worth it.
