Question cpu upgrade question

right now im running a ryzen 5 2600 and want to either upgrade to a ryzen 7 2700 or a ryzen 5 3600. any suggestions?
small upgrades are usually waste of $, you still need to pay full for new one and you won't see the expected result (10% maybe). If you upgrade to see the difference, it needs to be bigger change.
R2600 and 2700 are no difference in games, unless you run server, or music,browser,downloads and other things in background.
I suggest going for 2 generations, or 2 steps up OR more if possible.
ryzen 5 2600 -> would go to 2700x or 3700.
As 3700 prices are inflated you can get 3800 at the same price now, and that's the point I suggest for you.
3800X will be noticeably faster, and later on if you change the mobo, PCIE4.0 will be another upgrade step for GPU and storage.
