Hello, everyone. I want to buy a new CPU, but don't know which one to choose. Should I just buy the I7-7700K (the best one that fits my motherboard) or should I for example buy a I5-9600K which is better than the I7-7700K if I'm not mistaken. Or should I buy a new motherboard that supports a AMD CPU? My budget is €400 max. What would give me the best CPU for the lowest price that fits my budget?

Here are my specs:

Current CPU: i5-7400

Motherboard: ASrock Z270 Pro4

Ram: DDR4 16 GB

SSD/HDD: SSD: crucial ct275mx300ssd1 HDD: toshiba dt01aca100

GPU: GTX 1060 6GB

PSU: Cooler Master MasterWatt 750

Chassis: Sharkoon AI7000 Glass

OS: Windows 10

Case cooler: Cooler Master SickleFlow Red

CPU cooler: Hyper 212 LED

Ok nice. I mainly play cs:go (a CPU limited game). I want to stream too. Is the I7-7700K better for streaming and gaming than the Ryzen 7 2700. Although, the Ryzen 7 2700 has more threads and cores? That's the last thing I want to know.
2700 will be better in gaming and streaming simultaneously, but not the 9600k. Either go with the 7700k(highly recommended) or change the platform entirely to 2700, but in terms of pure gaming the 7700k is still a bit better.

Yupp...the 7700k will serve you equally good or even better in some CPU bound games.

A Ryzen 7 2700 would be better for streaming and gaming together, twice the cores and threads as an i7 7700K. Also, a 9600K would be a good upgrade as you'd be going from 4 cores to 6, as opposed to having the same amount of cores with a 7700K albeit with hyperthreading.

Go for the 7700K, it should be able to handle streaming and gaming, the 2700 although has an insane increase in thread and core count than the 7700k, the issue is you will have to get a new mob which is just making your life too complicated, by the way: getting a new mob would probably not even fit in your budget so in conclusion: go for the 7700k

Thank you all very much for your advice! I'm going with the I7-7700K. (y):D
