Cpu upgrade worse than before.

hello, I recently upgraded my amd Athlon 2 quad core to a intel i5 6400 (not k)
i made sure the mother bored was a one that supported the cpu and im also using a gtx 1060 3gb.

The problem is my cpu is hitting 50%+ when not in any games and just idle on desktop, i cant find any solutions myself and was wondering if any of you knew why?

Are you on a fresh install of windows? Or did you just use the windows install from your old AMD system? If you did that can cause issues. Also make sure windows isn't updating, that will use cpu resources.

It was an install of windows From a pc also with a i5 6400 and I check windows was updating, it wasn’t but thanks
